Inhumanity Kindles Hope

Eighth graders at Evansville Day School recently completed a unit on “Man’s Inhumanity to Man.” As part of the unit, they read Elie Wiesel’s memoir, Night, which shares how 14 year old Elie survives Auschwitz and the Holocaust. Introducing Hogsmeade in Gingerbread

For the last three years, Upper School 3D art students have created a gingerbread wonderland during first semester. On August 10, Day School students Caroline (2nd Grade), Audrey Palmer (Kindergarten) set up a lemonade stand at their home near Dexter Elementary. Endurance athlete and Evansville Day School alumnus Adam Ellenstein 1995, earned an unofficial World Record title by swimming the 105km (65 miles) length of Okanagan Lake, non-stop, from Vernon to Penticton, British Columbia, on July 25-26, 2016.
