Day School Hosts Local Community Leader Mark Kent

Local philanthropist, author, and speaker Mark Kent will visit Evansville Day School on Monday, March 6. Mark is the CEO of Women’s Health Care in Evansville and authored the book “Wow Moments!”

As a keynote speaker at top-tier organizations like Toyota Motor Company, Yahoo, NYU, Purdue, University of Miami, and AUPHA, Mark engages audiences on topics such as Change Management:  The Science and Psychology of Why Some Habits Stick and Others Fail,  What to Do About It:  The Art of Decision Making:  Discover Proven Models for Strategic Thinking, Problem Solving, and Gaining A Lasting Mental Advantage, and many more.

Through his philanthropic efforts, Mr. Kent has donated more than $100,000 to support the victims of the Indian Ocean Tsunami (2004), Hurricane Katrina (2005), and the Haitian Earthquake (2010).  He also founded the Foster Children’s United Society, a private not for profit foundation assisting foster children nationwide.

During his visit to the Day School campus, in addition to sharing his personal journey, Mr. Kent will discuss ways to turn everyday experiences into extraordinary events through what he calls “WOW moments.” Day School is committed to partnering with community leaders, such as Mr. Kent, to bring real-world experiences to life for our students.  Special events such as this are a direct reflection of Day School's focus on creating students who are resilient, balanced, globally-minded, entrepreneurial learners ready to become the global leaders of tomorrow.
